‘Last Train to Mahakali’, ek jhalak thi Anurag Kashyap ki
soch ki jo aane waale samay mey Indian Cinema ka rukh badalne waali thi. Yeh
unke dwara nirdeshit pehli film thi jiske liye budget to bahut kum tha hi saath
hi equipments bhi udhaar ke the. Camera udhaar tab mila jab Anurag ne apne ek dost ko film mey role ka vaayda kiya. Tab tak ek lekhak k roop mey Anurag ki
kuch pehchaan bani thi kyoki wo Ram Gopal Varma k liye kuch films ki scripts
likh chuke the aur tab unki likhi Satya ko khoob tareefen mil rahi thi.
Kismat se tab Star Plus channel naye writers aur directors
ko promote karti hui self contained short films ki ek series Star Bestsellers bana
raha tha. Anurag k concept ko Star team ne haatho haath liya aur unhe poori
chhut aur bada platform diya.
Film ki kahani ek journalist (Nivedita Bhattacharya) dwara sazayafta medical scientist (Kay Kay Menon) ki mulaqat se hoti hai jisko ek virus immunity
drug banane ka junoon tha aur is kaam mey wo safalta ke kareeb bhi aa gaya tha
par apne is kaam ki safalta k liye use apni banayi drug ka experiment insaano
par karna tha jiski ijazat uske institute AIIMS ne nahi di aur college chhod
kar wo alag prayog karne laga, is kram mey uske haatho kuch galtiyan aur apradh
hue, par aakhirkaar uski drug ko jab success mili to uska medical subject (ek pagal aurat) gayab
ho gaya aur wo kuch saabit nahi kar paaya. Ab journalist is Doctor ko insaaf
dilana chahti hai. Film ka ant ek alag andaz mey natkiye ghatnakram se hota hai.
Kay Kay Menon aur Nivedita ka abhinay kamaal ka hai. Menon sahab
k baare mey to waise ye kehne ki aadat ho gayi hai. Shayad isi kamaal ki
wajah se Anurag Kashyap brand k ek sthai ghatak ho gaye Menon ji. Waise ye love story nahi hai
par dono mainleads saath mey sehaj lagte hai (baad mey pata chala ki dono shaadishuda hai….he
he). Baaki kirdaaro (Vijay maurya, Luvleen Mishra, Shrivallabh Vyas) k paas
karne ko zyada kuch tha nahi par jitni bhi footage mili sabne prabhavit kiya. Film
ka ek khaas feature jiska shrey jaata hai Natarajan “Nutty” ko, uski
Cinematography, camera work hai jo darshak ko baandh kar rakhne mey aham
bhoomika nibhata hai.
Awards &
